Referencing and Contract

After receiving the required paperwork and holding deposit, we will proceed to reference checks. We employ a specialist company to carry out the checks and these include:

Credit check

It is important that you discuss any credit issues with us as early as possible as this may affect your application

Employer’s reference

We will speak with your employer to confirm your contract type, salary, position and length of time at the organisation.
For those self-employed, we ask to see an accountant’s reference and verify your income with bank statements.

Landlord reference

We contact your current landlord if applicable to discuss your current tenancy. If you have missed rental payments, are in arrears or have not acted in a tenant-like manner, this will affect your application.

Right to rent checks

This is a legal requirement to check a tenants right to rent a property in the UK.
